CEP Consultants Inc. finds itself in a unique position of growth and stability within the financial services industry. An understanding of the evolution of CEP Consultants Inc. requires a brief review of its history.

Soon after our firm’s inception in 1971, the financial services industry went through the first of many tax law changes, the most significant being ERISA in 1974. CEP Consultants Inc. was formed in response to this tax law revision to service the corporate pension market. As a pension consulting firm, CEP Consultants Inc. grew through its dedication to quality service. Our technical expertise is matched only by our equal dedication to efficient service.

Our founder, Mr. Lou Russo, played a pivotal role in Man’s first ascent to the moon, on July 20, 1969.

As Spacecraft Director at Grumman Aircraft, he led the team of 300 people who created the “Eagle” Lunar Lander.

The moon landing was testimony to the power of planning and design, and to the human qualities necessary to make our nation’s dreams a reality.

In a recent interview, when asked about the impact that moment had on his life, Mr. Russo replied, “It was unbelievable. It was a moment that will be locked in my mind forever. To me it was the ultimate example of what can be accomplished when there is strong vision, leadership, teamwork, planning and a willingness to confront a seemingly infinite amount of detail.”

After his years in the space program, he added a Masters Degree in the Science of Financial Services to his Masters Degree in the Science of Electrical Engineering.  At the same time, he was also building a team of professional consultants who could help business owners solve their problems, without risk to their livelihoods.
